A Short Film About a Lonely Robot, Created Entirely From NASA Videos
It’s 2045, and a lone robot orbits Earth in a spaceship, left there by his human companions. He longs for his home on Earth, but knows he’ll never see it again. Tragic, huh? This is the story of Robbie, a sentient Catholic robot, and the subject of the short film Robbie from director Neil Harvey.

Robonaut2 is designed as an assistant to astronauts on the International Space Station. It will be sent to ISS in Discovery’s STS-133 mission, set for November this year.
Kinda reminds us of Daft Punk, doesn’t it? :o)

NASA’S BEEN READING MY BLOG!
I hope you enjoyed it, those of you who could see it. You can always go to my page and click on the robots tag, or just click here, if you missed anything. I had a lot of fun (and some mind-rending horror) searching out robots on our common brain.
The next themed day will probably be astronauts again, because I have so much stuff in my drafts folder just waiting to be unleashed. I’d liked to think of a new theme, though, for the future. If anyone has a suggestion, please leave it in my ask box (as Tumblr is telling me I’ve reached my daily question limit). It will have to be something I’m interested in, clearly, but all suggestions are welcome. I might find something new to be excited about!

Again with the creepy body language. Or has this one been abandoned and is just reaching out to be rescued? Damn you, robots, and your…your…easy anthropomorphization!
