A better Post-It

Naruse-Inokama Architects…take wood waste from houses and turn that into paper which then is formed into a stack of Post-It-like sticky notes shaped like little houses. (They’re called IE-TAGs as “ie” is Japanese for “house.”)

Crayola’s new Crayon Maker melts down used crayons to form new ones in three easy steps, allowing the creation of solid colors, multicolors, all of them eliminating the need to throw away perfectly functional crayons that would have ended up in the garbage.

I like the idea of painting something that goes across the drawers, instead of painting them individually, and I love the image they chose.

Fifty years ago, international brewmaster Alfred Heineken created what may to this day be the most brilliant beer bottle ever designed. After the liquid contents are consumed, the rectangular bottles come become  standard-sized bricks that could be stacked to create attractive and rigid residential walls.
